Prince Barney adores children and children adore him. The children get to know a real life animal that reaches out to them to be patted. The children feel his soft coat and stroke his long mane. The children love to ask lots of questions about Prince Barney, they are curious, they want to know how he likes to be looked after, what is his favourite food and how old is he. Some children help with leading him by the lead rope alongside me, they love the feeling of doing this. I sometimes take some chopped up carrots and the children feed him with a flat hand and I help by making sure their little fingers are flat back and not curl up at the last minute! There are lots of giggles!
